Why To Improve Writing Skills Is Crucial To Your Blog.

Writing articles which are easy to read is main skill which every blogger should have, if our articles have lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes and long paragraphs,  then we lose our reputation, lot of visitors analyze our writing skills within first paragraph our article , if they don’t feel comfortable, simply they leave our blog.

If we want to impress our readers, then we have to improve writing skills, initial days of my blogging, I use to write long paragraph articles without using any bold, italic, highlighted words or quotes.

One day one of my blog visitors on Social media sent me a personal message saying that my article is well informative but he is unable to read and understand my article because of long paragraphs, then I realized what mistake I am doing.

Later I started reading about more articles on writing skills for blog; copyblogger.com has log of good information about writing skills for beginners.

Now I will share my experiences and tips to improve writing skills to keep our readers for long time on our blog with less bounce rate.

HOW TO IMPROVE WRITING SKILLS

Good writing habits comes by practice, if we follow these steps in writing our articles regularly, we will master ourselves to write best articles to attract global audience.

Compose Articles on Proper Editor

Word editor software’s like Microsoft Word and Google Docs are best correcting software’s for spelling and grammar, try to draft all your articles on these editors which will minify all your writing problems.

WordPress post editor helps you to find spelling mistakes, but correcting grammar is not up to the mark, so I recommend you to go for proper editor when drafting your articles.

At present I draft all my articles on Microsoft Word, later I copy and paste the article on WordPress new post editor for further enhancements, like including H2, H3 tags and links.

Use Bold And Italics to Highlight

This is another tip which I learned from copyblogger blog, if we use bold and italics to words to highlight, and then search engine bots gives more preference to these words to analyze our article.

When you want to use LSI keywords, related keywords or you are linking references to high authority blog’s use bold or italics to highlight the anchor text for better exposure.

Unnecessarily don’t use bold and italics to highlight every word, use it sparely if you feel really that word is worth to highlight then only use these technique.

USE ONLINE PROOFREADING TOOLS

After completing our article writing, proofreading is must to find out further mistakes, reading loudly two to three times can notice some mistakes.

Sometimes reading our own article many times will not find mistakes, because we think we have used proper grammar for our article, but we don’t know it is 100% error free article.

We cannot ask our friends to proofread our articles every time we write new article.

Using short sentences, two to three line paragraphs increases readability score.

Using lists, bullet points, and quotes simplifies reader experiences.

Using less complex words, simple words can boost the readability score.
