Using an SEO Checklist To Generate Traffic.

By Rahul Garg

One thing that will help you generate traffic is to make sure you have an SEO checklist to follow. Search Engine Optimization is what I consider the icing on the cake when it comes to our blogs and websites. So do you have an SEO Checklist to follow? Let’s see what are some of the key components you should look into when it comes to SEO…

If you want to make sure you’re getting the best out of your posts, one thing you want to make sure you have is an SEO Checklist!

Why would I say that?

Well there are certain things that your readers look for and also there are certain things that search engines are looking for.

When you put the relationships you’re building with your readers as well as the components of SEO within your blog posts together, miraculous things tend to happen!

For any of you that don’t know, SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization! So basically you want to prepare your posts and websites with the keywords that people will type in when they’re looking for information on a specific subject or word.

Now why would you ever want to make sure your posts are SEO Compliant? The stats of how valuable SEO is speaks for itself. In This Post, I talk about How Does SEO Affect Your Blog and I give you some of my experiences and results of when I implemented it.

I do have to tell you that the stats are astounding! I share an infograph of how much people use Search Engines to search for whatever subjects they’re looking for. It breaks it down by month, day, hour and minute and it’s amazing how many searches are done just per minute!

Now back to the SEO Checklist!

Basic Components in an SEO Checklist

Scannability, Page Title, Meta Description and Keywords are some of those basic components you will need on your posts! You want to definitely satisfy both the search engines and your readers.

Since I’m on an Infograph binge I thought I would share another one with you that gives you those basic components for an SEO Checklist!

Outside of the technical stuff, one thing I like to point out within the post is the part of Is Your Site Trustworthy. Nowadays, Building trust goes a long way.

Why?

Because Search Engines now will rank you based on how much Trust you have with your readers and on social media! A lot of people tend to overlook it and look at more of the technical aspects of SEO.

As part of the SEO Checklist, whenever you market online your goals should be:

  • The establishing of trust on the Web
  • The establishing and safeguarding of reputation on the Web
  • The need to closely associate your company or brand with trust and a great reputation.

I talk about How Do You Build TrustRank where I reference the book Google Semantic Search by David Amerland. I go into more detail of what needs to be done to make your posts look more trustworthy so that you can get ranked well By Google’s algorithm for TrustRank.

What are the basic things I do in order to make my Blog Posts more SEO Compliant?

Lately I’ve been a little more SEO Conscientious! Especially after some of the results I’ve gotten in a couple of my previous blog posts!

This reminds me of running track in High School. It may be ironic, but go with me on this one.

Back then, I thought it was just about being in shape, as far as building your cardiovascular and strength, and then you run.

I didn’t do too shabby my senior year running the 400 meters, which was my main event, and going to CIF finals in California which is two levels away from going to State.

When I started running in college, thats when I found out there are actual techniques to implement when running any sprint race. So I become more conscientious of that and I did improved a lot up until I pulled my hamstring and developed patella tendonitis.

But the fact of the matter is on top of the conditioning, I was incorporating techniques to run a smarter race.

So goes for writing your blog posts. You want to incorporate what’s on an SEO checklist within your posts. Especially the ones you have products and services you’re marketing.

Here is a basic SEO Checklist I go by whenever I want to make any of my posts more SEO compliant:

Have A Great Title Targeting My Audiences’ Interest (of course)

Describe The Title More Into Detail In First Sentence

Make Sure I Have The Keyword in Title and First Sentence

Make Sure My Posts Are Scannable For Your Readers

If you’re already building rapport and strong relationships with your readers, then this SEO Checklist is a great place to start. It will definitely rattle some Search Engine cages once implemented.

But what if you are one that just one to take it a step further beyond this SEO Checklist?

Well if you want to take it up a notch, then I definitely recommend using the SEOpressor plugin for your wordpress blog.

Using SEOPressor for your SEO Checklist

If you haven’t checked out my Last Post already, in one section I talked about how I got 250 shares in one post within a week, and then about 3 weeks later I had over 850 shares within one week!

For me those were amazing results.

And it happened to be a coincident that I incorporated the vital components of SEO into those two blog posts.

I definitely have to give credit to the SEOpressor plugin for guiding me to make those two posts SEO compliant as well as generating the traffic I wanted.

In my last post I left two links to SEOpressor, but what I didn’t mention that SEOpressor isn’t free. It’s a paid plugin and it definitely is worth the investment.

I’ve had it since 2011 and back then it was $97. I’ve recently seen that they’ve added 3 more price plans. Here is a snap shot of the other three price plans!

So if you’re the type that don’t want to come up with an SEO Checklist, then why not let the SEOpressor Plugin guide you? This will definitely be a game changer for you if you’re not already implementing SEO within your blog posts!

Also I want let you know that I’m an affiliate of SEOpressor and if you purchase the plugin through my links, I will get a commission.

Now It’s Your Turn!

SEO can be a bit daunting for a lot of people. I know many of the top bloggers recommend SEO but a lot of us are hesitant about. It’s a good thing we have plugins like SEOpressor to guide us on our journey to success.

Do you have your own SEO Checklist? Do you use any SEO plugins to help you make your blog posts more SEO compliant? How would you describe the traffic that you’re generating now? Do you believe that if you implement SEO that it will help boost your traffic by a lot?
