Simple Strategy To Add To Your Email Broadcasts On AWeber.

By Rahul Garg

What are you doing to make sure people know who you are? When it comes to utilizing an email broadcast through your autoresponder, you want to make sure that people also get to know you in other areas. Hey if people can get to know you outside of your email or blog, then why not make it easier for them! In the following post I will give you a simple way to add social media buttons to your broadcast emails within AWeber….

Do you know what’s changing?

The way people exchange their personal information.

As I’m writing this, a movie just came to mind. Cadillac Records.

If you haven’t seen it, it was a movie about how the Chicago Blues scene started up in the late 1940’s and 1950’s through such talents like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Chuck Berry, Little Walter, and Etta James.

Question:

Have you ever watch a movie about 15 times, and on that 15th time you just noticed a part or a line that you didn’t notice the previous 14 times? I guess it’s because we’re so caught up in our day and time that we don’t take notice of those little things.

But anyways….

I noticed in that movie on that 15th time how Muddy Waters met his future wife. He had just moved to Chicago from Mississippi and of course he brought his guitar with him. So he would play on the sidewalk and the locals up there would tell him to take that country a&%!@ music back to Mississippi.

Anyways, his future wife was peeping out the window and she enjoyed his music. She shouted out the window that he would need some power so the locals will appreciate his music more. She threw down a power cable for him to amp up his guitar and when he started playing, the locals started to enjoy it more.

Now here’s the part I realize that we’ve come a long way as far as exchanging information. When muddy was done playing his guitar, he wanted to get a way to contact her later. So he yelled up to his future wife, and instead of asking her for her phone number, he asked her for address!

Just this part of the movie really tripped me out on how far we’ve come when it comes to exchanging contact information!

And you know what. Even back in the 80s when I was a kid, I can still remember some people who didn’t have phones which I thought was odd back then. But you do have to think how did people exchange information before they had telephones.

Now you know what else is funny? Nowadays whenever I go to the salsa club, I find that instead of exchanging numbers, I see more and more people asking how they can get in touch with each other through facebook. This has became our new trend and I’m finding that doing this has made it a lot more convenient for me.

Now what does this have to do with the title? Well, social media has made it more convenient for people to get in touch with each other, and you would look at a person sideways now days if they don’t have a facebook account. I mean there’s probably over a billion people using facebook account, and not having a facebook account is almost like not having a phone.

So if you’re using an email autoresponder, why not give your leads another way for them to get to know you better on social media? This will definitely build more trust with them!

Steps To Adding Facebook and Twitter Buttons To Your Broadcast Emails

How many of you agree that at least 95% of the sale is through the relationships you build with others?

Well either way it goes, you definitely do not want to appear as if you are hiding from everyone. especially to your email list. You want to show them that they can get to know you better also on social media.

One thing you want to show is that you’re not always about business. You actually have a life outside! What better way to show that you can relate to them than through social media!

For the past couple of days, I’ve been doing some research and fiddling around with AWeber and how you can customize your broadcast emails.

From that I was able to put the Facebook and Twitter buttons at the bottom of my message. I haven’t done a broadcast just yet out to test, but I like to show you what I’ve done to show all of you who have AWeber on how you can add these buttons to your messages.

Step One:

Choose Messages Once you log into your AWeber

Step Two:

Click on Email Template Manager

Step Three:

Click on “Create A New Template”

Step Four:

Give Your Template A Name

Step Five:

Click on and Drag “Follow Me” button to the bottom of the body where you intend to put your message.

Step Six:

On The right of body of where you put in your message, make sure that you connect your Facebook And Twitter account to Aweber if you haven’t already

Step Seven:

Make sure that the Facebook and Twitter buttons are there at the bottom of body

That’s It!

Now It’s Your Turn!

I hope that this was helpful for all of you who haven’t added the facebook and twitter buttons to the bottom of your broadcast messages. If you already have added these buttons, have you found them to be more beneficial to you? Are there any other ways that you added these social media buttons? Are there any other ways to other other social media buttons besides facebook and twitter that you found? How often does your list connects with you on social media? Please share your comments below and share this post with you friends! I look forward to read them soon!
