How To Find Buyer Keywords To Boost Earning.

By Rahul Garg

Hacking into your potential readers’ minds, and knowing their deepest desires is the greatest art you can have as an internet marketer. For years altogether, you may have thought that keyword research is nothing but finding some of the phrases that more people are looking for and have less competition. But when you dive deep into the keyword research concept, you can observe that there is a type of keywords called buyer keywords.

  • What are buyer keywords? Buyer keywords that are typed into search engines by the users, prior to purchasing a product or a service are called buyer keywords.
Ex: best lens for macro photography, walmart eye exam coupon, etc.

Typically, these searchers have their credit card on hand.

Researching these type of keywords and ranking for them are of greatest importance for affiliate marketers, eCommerce business owners, product owners, etc.

The sad fact is that finding buyer keywords with good search volume and low competition is a tedious job. But I will dumb down the entire process of finding low competition buyer keywords, and will unveil some of the techniques I personally use to uncover the hidden gems.

Types of Buyer Keywords

1.BUY NOW KEYWORDS

These are the keywords that people use minutes or even seconds before their purchase. The traffic that is driven by these keywords often converts well, as the users who are at the final stage of their buyer journey search for these kinds of keywords.

  • Coupon
  • Discount
  • Promo
  • Buy
  • Offer
  • Voucher
  • Best place to buy
  • Where can I buy

2.PRODUCT KEYWORDS

These people definetely make their purchase, but are still are researching that perfect product to buy. They are often be searching for real-human reviews of the product, and maybe some information related to the product that is crucial for making their purchase decision.

  • Review
  • Alternatives
  • Best (under $XXX)
  • Cheap
  • Product vs. product
  • Comparison
  • Top 10

3.PROBLEM-SOLVING KEYWORDS

These type of keywords often start with the “how to”. They are aimed at solving a pain problem that people are solving. Here the conversion depends upon the urgency of the keyword. If the searcher is searching for an immediate solution for a problem, the conversions will be more if you rank for the keyword.

How to find buyer keywords?

If you are reliant on affiliate marketing or sales for your online revenue, knowing about some of the effective ways to find buyer intent keywords is of great importance.

Here in this section, I will describe some of the proven strategies I use on my blog to research buyer keywords for SEO.

Google Keyword Planner

Google Keyword Planner is one of the best keyword research tools out there on the web. Any newbie blogger, straightly heads over to the tool, and type in the seed keyword and carry out the keyword research process.

However, you can make use of GKP to find some of the best buyer intent keywords to target in your content.

Here are some of the tweaks.

1. Include buyer words

Include buyer words in the “words to include” section of Google Keyword Planner. You can look at the below screenshot to get an idea.

Some more buyer words…

  • Best
  • Review
  • Coupon
  • Promo
  • Offer
  • Budget
  • Premium
  • Alternative
  • Cheap
  • Affordable
  • Buy
  • Compare
  • Offer
  • Discount
  • Purchase
  • Top 10
  • Voucher
  • For women

2. Exclude informational words

Presence of some if the words in the keyword clearly shows that the keyword is of informational type and not buyer intent. Here’s the little trick to filter out the majority of the informational keywords.

You can also put “free” as a negative word, which kicks out all the keywords for free stuff.

Some more informational / negative words you need to neglect.

  • What is
  • Why
  • When
  • Which
  • Who
  • Free
  • Nulled
  • Torrent
  • Types of
  • Symptoms
  • Causes
  • Effects

3. Keep an eye on high CPC keywords

Keywords that have high CPC often have more advertisers bidding for the keyword, hence the value of organically ranking high for the keywords are more. They are often buyer intent keywords. The tip here is to target high CPC keywords as they are buyer keywords.

  • Buyer keywords convert well for advertisers, hence they bid higher for those keywords and CPC will be higher.

Best buyer seed keyword ideas

  • Best PRODUCT under $$$
  • PRODUCT MODEL review
  • PRODUCT1 vs. PRODUCT2
  • Cheap PRODUCT alternatives
  • Top 10 PRODUCT_CATEGORY
  • Affordable PRODUCT_CATEGORY
  • PRODUCT coupon
  • PRODUCT promo code
  • PRODUCT discount
  • Buy PRODUCT online
  • PRODUCT offer
  • Where to buy PRODUCT

Buyer keywords {how to}

Buyer keywords are not only about the keywords that have a flavor of money in it. The long tail keywords that start from the “how to” can also be buyer intent keywords (how to accomplish a certain task).

Let me give you some examples.

  • How to start a WordPress blog? {promote hosting products}
  • How to lose weight fast with Paleo diet? {promote Paleo products}
  • How to boost social shares on WordPress sites? {promote social sharing plugins}
  • How to setup a photography home studio? {promote DSLR, Mic, Lights, etc.}

Any tutorials or DIY content, that involves the usage of products and services, also turns out to be profitable as they cover buyer keywords. By including these type of buyer content that appear as informational can also be a great trick to promote affiliate products or perhaps your own products on your blog.

The keywords starting with “how to” can also be great buyer keywords.

When choosing this type of keywords, go narrow. For example, look at the below keyword examples.

  • Home studio
  • How to setup a home studio
  • How to setup a photography home studio
  • How to setup a photography home studio on a budget

As you can see in the above examples, the length of the keyword is increasing. The intent of the keyword is becoming more specific. When the search intent becomes more specific, you can get an idea of what content to include so as to maximize the conversions.

These are some of the best-proven methods to find buyer keywords for maximizing your online income. I hope you found the techniques helpful. Have a nice day ahead.
